PFAS Shipping Restrictions:

We are unable to ship any products that contain perfluoroalkyl and/or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) to the states of Minnesota, Colorado and Maine.
Effective January 1, 2025, the state of Minnesota prohibited the sale, offer for sale or distribution of products containing PFAS.  Effective January 1, 2026, this same restriction also took effect in the states of Colorado and Maine.

On our website, within an item's page, if you see the phrase “PFAS Shipping Restrictions – Click Here For More Info” it means that the manufacturer of the product has identified it contains a PFAS substance.

Prop 65 Warning - California Residents:

The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment lists over 900 chemicals that they believe are carcinogens and/or reproductive toxicants (“Prop 65 List”). Some products that are sold on our website contain one or more of these chemicals and it is our duty to clearly identify these items for our customers.

On an item’s webpage, if you see the phrase “California Residents – Click Here to see Prop 65 Warnings” it means that the manufacturer of the product has identified that it contains a chemical from California’s Prop 65 list (indicating potential exposure to cancer or reproductive harm toxicants). For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov. 

The Extra Ingredient would never sell products we believe to be harmful and many of the items which require this warning are, in fact, FDA approved.

Lithium Battery Shipping Restrictions:

Due to California's newest Battery Recycling Law we are unable to ship any products that contain lithium batteries to the State of California.
Per California Senate Bill 1215, effective January 1, 2026, purchasers of new or refurbished battery-embedded products are required to pay a recycling fee at the point of sale. This law aims to reduce battery-related fire risks and improve recycling practices. As The Extra Ingredient is not able to add separate fees for shipments to specific states we reserve the right to cancel any orders of lithium battery containing products shipping to California.
